As a reader, I would like the option to select whether, upon closing my app, I return to the last article I was reading or to the main explore page.

Is there a way to save the reading position of an article?
When I close the app without having finished an article, it starts from the beginning of the article when I come back,

We’ve received multiple reports and feature requests asking for more control over how the app opens, specifically the ability to choose between:
Opening on the Explore feed
Opening on a new tab
Notably, it's opening now on the last reading article, and it’s the behavior most users are complaining about. Many describe it as jarring, especially when they intentionally return to Explore before closing the app.
