Also, [[File:anything.png|link=current page]] is preferably to disable its linking as internal link would bold its text and disable its linking if the link target is the same as the current page title.

Well that is the behaviour of [[ ]] links, given that using link parameter in the file link is so explicit, I'm not sure if this is a good idea.

The file with link attribute is not supposed to be linked to the file description page, so it's ok to disable the link in such circumstance. Also it is consistent with the text internal link behavior.
