Hi @RoyZuo. This does not sound like something is wrong in the code base (a so-called "software bug"), but instead like a support request (how to change settings, questions how to do something, etc.). Wikimedia Phabricator is for bug reports, enhancement requests, and planning work. If you would like to make this a feature request, please use the feature request template - thanks.

Aklapper renamed this task from How to change user interface language of https://ocr.wmcloud.org/ ? to Allow to change user interface language of https://ocr.wmcloud.org/.Sun, May 26, 11:32 AM
Aklapper changed the subtype of this task from "Task" to "Feature Request".

No, this is a software bug I think. :) It should be possible to switch languages using ?uselang=xx as is normal in Wikimedia software. It defaults to whatever your browser sends as an Accept header, but it should still be possible to change it. We haven't implemented a UI for switching the lanugage (which should also be done!) but it should still be possible to switch using the URL parameter.

I think the actual bug is T357821, which was fixed, but hasn't yet been deployed to Wikimedia OCR (it was fixed in ToolforgeBundle 1.6.1 but the tool is still using 1.5.2).

@RoyZuo A workaround that you can use now is to delete your PHPSESSID cookie for ocr.wmcloud.org and try again with the ?uselang=en URL parameter.
