What kind of problem are you reporting?

  • Service related problem
  • Data related problem
For a service related problem:
  • What is the nature of the issue?
    • When I run the conda-analytics-clone on a stat machine, it fails with the error /usr/bin/conda-analytics-clone: line 10: 1: unbound variable. If try to clone and activate a new environment through the Jupyter interface, the request eventually errors with the message "Spawn failed: Server at http://127.0.0.1:52453/user/nshahquinn-wmf/ didn't respond in 120 seconds", which I expect is is caused by the same underlying issue with the conda-analytics-clone script.

Event Timeline

nshahquinn-wmf created this task.

This is not an immediate blocker for me as I can still activate my existing environments, but I will need to do it eventually. Users without an existing, functioning environment are not currently able to use the Jupyter services.

Thanks for the report! I have opened https://gitlab.wikimedia.org/repos/data-engineering/conda-analytics/-/merge_requests/48 to fix this issue, and have also manually edited the script on the stat boxes to unblock you.

This issue is resolved, although we have a new version 0.0.35 of conda-analytics to deploy on Monday, which will fix the trailing brace issue in environment names. T369210
