the wikibase manifest was created to allow programatic access to key settings in a wikbase. in particular in the use of open refine. it may be the perfect thing for us eventually to use to discover the various end-points and/or to help people accomplish certain federation tasks. it is an extension and seems to have been developed by WMDE.

acceptance criteria:

evaluate and where possible collect...

• which instances have the wb manifest extension installed
• do they denote items or properties with equivalents on Wikidata? if so, which ones?
• do they list the urls for the endpoints of any services ?
• if any missing endpoints are revealed, please use this to gather missing information into our metrics db.
