Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

Edit a page in 2010 wikitext editor and enable CodeMirror 6 syntax highlighting: https://az.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Boboti&action=edit
Add a new line in content

(see video below)

What happens?:
Syntax highlighting disappears

What should have happened instead?:
Syntax highlighting should not be affected

I'm able to reproduce on Ubuntu, but only in Firefox. Chromium seems fine. @Nemoralis are you using Firefox as well?

Yes, I am using Firefox

I think this issue will be fixed in the next MediaWiki version. Here is a patch demo.
