Notifications: WP:Popups gadget doesn't work in the flyout

[[w:WP:Popups]] do not work in the Notifications-flyout, but they do work in Special:Notifications. Can this be fixed?

Better to say it's Popups which needs fixing, to listen on delegated rather than direct events?

Echo is lovely enough to already include the feature to make it work Popups-side. I submitted edit request on en.wp: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki_talk:Gadget-popups.js#Use_the_.27wikipage.content.27_hook
