In the link inspector there is only one input field: the target page.

In Gmail's rich text editor and in Google Docs there is also a "display text" field, even though that text already appears in the editor itself.

This is user feedback from a Wikipedia editing workshop that I conducted yesterday - that user said that he would find it more comfortable and familiar this way. I don't have a strong opinion about it myself and I leave this to the designers.
