Suggestion for a Database of User Tables
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Author: pce3

Description:
Although the user image database provides for downloading an image from the user image
database to an article page there is not an equivalent method for downloading a table from a
user table database to a user page or even a User Table Database. Such a database would allow
raw data to be stored in a conventional CSV or XLS format such that table contents would be in
the common spreadsheet table type format where the name of the table is placed in the upper
leftmost cell, the names of the characteristics (independent variables) in the first row
beginning with the second column, the names of the elements (dependent variables) listed in
the first column beginning with the second row and cells that make up the body of the table
containing the state of the characteristic for each element. Even if their were no built in
commands to format the raw data contained in the table at least the data would be available
for formating manually or by a user program.

I barely understood the request, but it looks like a duplicate
of bug 7777 (Wiki data storage and dynamic table display).
