I will be at the Wikipedia Science Conference in London 2-3 September and will propose an unconference slot on the question of mathematical, and if possible, other scientific, editing and rendering.

I may be able to help with some of the UK organisations: email me. I expect to be at the Wikipedia Science Conference in London, 2-3 September, which would be a suitable venue for a discussion.

I am on the council of the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, the UK professional and learned society for mathematics. We are interested in using Wikimedia projects as part of our outreach, and already know that mathematics editing and rendering in Mediawiki is problematic. I would be happy to receive suggestions from the participants in this discussion as to where and how these issues might be resolved, and whether I can make a proposal to the IMA to try to support a common way forward.
