Also reporting in that I've had to switch the Portland, Oregon and Columbus, Ohio enwiki articles' mapframe maps from shape to line to "fix" their maps, though then the shapes cannot be shaded as I would prefer. Will be eager to have a fix.

That's good to hear. So does normal operations imply that everything should be reimported by now? I have a test page at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:%E2%B1%AE/sandbox35, still no luck with the import at least with this relation I've been continually monitoring.

How do I condense a file like this? http://opendata.columbus.gov/datasets/corporate-boundary
It read as 2,936.44 kilobytes. It's one single shape. I tried 'simplifying' the shape into something less detailed and it then read as 4,807.333 KB.

Those comments are two years old, it seems nobody cares about this? The language is really foreign to me too, and leaves it ambiguous as to what is or isn't possible or why a fix can't be found.
How can I help make this happen? This 4+ year proposal for updating icons is impacting my map-making almost daily.

This needs to take up less space on the watchlist. I feel it already takes up too much space, and this new change is going to make that area take up even more space. I'd really like to even collapse that box. I don't use it often, and would like to see more of my watchlist.
