https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3ASearch&search=uploads+windows&go=Vai contains URLs such as https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manual:Configuring_file_uploads?searchDepth=1

The URL format is incorrect. If parameters are needed, they must be used with standard index.php full url format.

Caused by T109482 and apparently improved in gerrit 232896 (appends ?wprov=cirrus now, which means there is no counter changing on every click and varnish cache is not split since wprov is special-cased; also the parameter is hidden on most modern browsers via the history API).
