Sometime, the source URLs listed in the CopyPatrol tool are extremely long. We should probably truncate anything longer than 100 characters or so (but still link to the full URL). Ellipses can be used to indicate truncation.

Here I just used the ellipsis instead of allowing the URL to wrap on to the next line. To me this looks nice; I can see as much of the URL as possible and it won't interfere with the layout. See what I have at https://tools.wmflabs.org/plagiabot
However if you want to truncate at a lesser width this is no problem. Character count doesn't really work but you'd want to go by an explicit width anyway, in this case by number of columns. For reference, the page is 12 columns in width and the action buttons on the right are one column in width.
