Abuse filter doesn't record the edit
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

I have noticed a problem in abuse filter in arwiki, that the abuse filter match the edit, but it does not record it as a hit. for example, the following abuse filter prevent the IPs from adding random requests to a specific page. This is the filter:
https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/خاص:مرشح_الإساءة/90

As you can see, there are only 1 hit has been recorded, but if you test the filter using patch test special page, you will find that the filter match more than 1 edit, but it does not record as a hits. Here is an example:

The same problem is repeated in another abuse filters.

It's quite hard to help with this. First, edits from 2016 aren't in the recentchanges table anymore, so I can't perform a batch test for that period. Plus, the second link given isn't valid and refers to a not-existent change. Without more info, I probably won't be able to help much. Anyway, I think this might have been some sort of temporary problem, as we have already seen others like this.

Reflecting reality by declining this task as this sounds like this issue will not (and cannot) be investigated.

(Oh, and if this happens again, please do file a new ticket, please. Thanks!)
