[Regression wmf.18] Special:Notifications horizontal scroll linewrap problem on desktop
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

(This might already be fixed, as it works fine on beta cluster. Filing just in case.)

The special:notifications page on desktop has a linewrap horizontal scroll width wide problem (keywords!).

(Tested on Firefox Ubuntu, in case that matters here.)

However, seems ok at beta cluster, so might be fixed and just waiting for the deployment train:

Etonkovidova added a project: Regression.

T138433: Notifications page: Notification bodies are not truncated - deployed for wmf.10

Also, the subsequent fixes for mobile should be deployed in in 1.28.0-wmf.18 (September 6-8)
Gerrit change 308113 Fix notification page width responsiveness issues
Gerrit change 307642 Adjust Special:Notifications width for small screens (task T141949)
Gerrit change 308217 Followup I3daae156d: Don't truncate body text for small screens

This was fixed by rECHOa834420533c4: Remove js-truncation of descriptions in Special:Notifications desktop (https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/309201/) but that's in wmf.19, and we're still running wmf.18 right now. I'm also not allowed to backport the fix because it doesn't qualify as urgent, so we have to wait for the deployment train to become unstuck.

Should be fixed in production now, as wmf.20 was deployed on all wikis today.
