[...] previously, if I clicked on the notification icon in the toolbar to see any new notices, once I clicked out of it, it would have marked what I just saw as read. Some users may not like this feature, but I certainly did, over needing to click the icon, do what I choose, and then click "Mark all as read" when I'm done. If possible, I'd like to see the "auto" mark return, even if just as an option users can check in their preferences.
Is this an easy type of user-preference to add?
Or alternatively, can someone write this as a simple user-script? It would need to work independently for each panel.
