Description

Under certain conditions (not sure what), the Explore icon and the WikipediA icon shown at the top of the home page are not displayed properly. Below are certain screenshot that show the problem.

Steps to reproduce
Not sure for how to reproduce this for now. I see this problem at random intervals.

Device Information
App version : 2.4.180-alpha-2016-11-21
Android version : 4.2.2 (Jellybean)
Device Vendor : Samsung
Device Model : GT-S7582 (Galaxy S Duos 2)

Note : When I see the issue in the app, it's not until I restart the app do the icons get displayed correctly again.

This seems very device-specific. Please provide the exact device model and Android version.

I have added the details in the task description. If more information is needed please ask me.

One more thing I would like to mention is that I could not see the problem in the Beta version of the app. This seems to be a problem only with the alph version. Is there any significant change in alpha that's still not in beta (I guess description editing would not be a candidate, but not so sure) that could have caused this ?

We've confirmed to the extent possible that this occurs in low memory circumstances where the WebView shows some images as broken and OutOfMemoryExceptions are being thrown. I don't think there's any one thing we can point at in the app to fix other than to try improve the memory profile generally so I'm marking this as closed

I would love the app even more, if that could be done :)

Is it worth creating a task about improving the memory outline of the app?

@Kaartic, sure I've opened a spike, T158361, to perform a profile of the app and identify large consumers
