Description

When you preview a page, the box covers the entire page, including the sidebar. This (and the absence of the table of contents) makes the preview look different from what the editor will see when the page is saved.

This differs from {155732}, which wants to see the wiktext editing box, rather than the sidebar.

I'll merge it with T155732: Provide a Preview panel that doesn't obscure the wikitext box and maybe the skin's sidebar (?) anyway.
