Hello,
During WikiArabia 2017 many users asked me about a problem that they faced in Special:NewPages.
The problem they faced that in Special:NewPages the new unreviewed pages should appear in yellow color for autoreviwers and editors but it's just appear in yellow for sysops.

Note: I think it's a generalized problem in all languages.
It will display in yellow for people that do have the 'patrol' permission. MediaWiki cannot display yellow background for users who do not have the ability to patrol. As of https://ar.wikipedia.org/wiki/خاص:عرض_صلاحيات_المجموعات?uselang=en, only sysops have patrol permission, so only sysop see the yellow background. Because of this, this isn't a bug, but a feature and I'm closing this task as invalid.
If you want to assign the patrol permission to some other group (be warned, the would be able to patrol the pages), please reopen and change the title so it will fit into the new problem.
patrolmarks allows you to see unpatrolled pages but not to actually
patrol them, or is that permission gone?
Oh, ok. Didn't know about that permission. @alanajjar It should be possible to just allow users to view the yellow background known as patrol marks.
BTW @MarcoAurelio, do you know why it isn't granted to users by default?
Probably because of the same reasons for UnwatchedPages, etc. Also, I do
not think it adds anything adding the permission to all users if they do
not participate in maintenance.
But it also do not 'remove' anything, i mean it do not make some harm (from
the community side).

The ar.wiki editors recently complain about these problem! so they didn't face it previously!
Also what is the diff. between patrol and review?
Just note that the level of permissions on arwiki have a big differ from other wikis!
Also I note that this page need update!
for example on editors section wrote (edit pages protected as "Allow only autoconfirmed users" )
but in fact there's protection level on ar.wiki named (Allow only Editor users).
Patrol is a thing that is in core MediaWiki. Review is a thing defined by FlaggedRevs, a custom extension to MediaWiki that was enabled for your wiki sometime probably.
The page you link me to is autogenerated and in fact, it cannot be outdated. Check translatewiki.net and your local translation (at both places, all messages are named as MediaWiki:messagename, at translatewiki there is also /languagecode at the end). You can check the messagename by appending ?uselang=qqx (if a questionmark is already in your url, please append &uselang=qqx instead).

I mean that previously the new unreviewed pages appeared in yellow color for users who have editor permission in ar.wiki (Also I remembered that when I've editor permission on ar.wiki), also as the complains about this thing started before 1 or 2 months I thought it's a new bug!
