Special:Statistics does not explain what * means
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The [[Special:Statistics]] page should give users a indication (such as a footnote) that the asterisk symbol means there's a tool-tip visible when hovered over.

It has caused confusion with users, such is visible in this mailing list post http://lists.wikimedia.org/pipermail/wikien-l/2008-November/096763.html

I'd rather not add another (useless) message, but change the asterisk into a small 'lightbulb' icon, which I think more clearly indicates that something is going on there. In a technical sense, this probably has to be inserted as a variable in the message, or it may go wrong with LTR/RTL. Wikimedia Commons must have an icon that fits our purpose with the right license.

Ugh... why on earth are those tooltips? That's necessary content to understand what the rest of the text means.

Removed the tooltips entirely in r44509.
