The current AbuseFilter textarea is quite simple and easy to understand. However, it is still used to write code, and it may be useful to standardize it by using code editor, the same available for Module namespace and for JS/CSS pages. This could result in better and more friendly graphic results, especially if we plan to add some sort of syntax or brackets highlighting (see T39192).
