Improve Special:Translate consistency for ergonomical purpose
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

While viewing a page translation, the Edit tab is replaced by a a Translate tab.

However, when you click on the Translate tab, you are redirected to a fully different interface.

Tabs from previous page should be kept: you should be able to access easily to rendered page (Read), History and Discussion.

Current tabs (statistics and Export) should probably be moved on the left menu where we usually find that kind of tool.

Mainly, there is currently no link to translated page, whereas I (as a translator) need to view what I have done and to view messages in their context.

I could amend the message group description to include link the the page in the current language.

Indeed, it would be nice as a workaround (maybe linking “translation of the wiki page” to translation and linking “from English” to original page), but I really think navigation tabs should be consistent with a classic edit page.

That was finally done for T270025: Make it easy to go to source page and the translation page on Special:Translate.

However, I still think Special:Translate should be consistent with the common Edit page, so I don’t close this task myself.
