[Bug] Popups should use abbreviations when available
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Steps to reproduce

  1. Visit https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiona_Apple#Discography on the Vector desktop site with page previews enabled.
  2. Hover over "When the Pawn..."

Expected results

  • The editor intended that the abbreviation appear on hover. For Popups, the abbreviation should override the usual summary.

Actual results

  • The abbreviation appears on hover but obscures the hover page preview

This one needs design input if we ever work on it. We could either not show a popup or include the abbr somehow.

I assume you meant to add this to tracking Olga?

Declining for the time being. Our recommendation here would be to not use abbreviations when a preview would be expected
