link to talk pages in Android app doesn't work for non-article pages
Closed, DuplicatePublicBUG REPORT

Description

When viewing a user page in the Android app, e.g. User:Awkward42, there is a link near the bottom to view the talk page. Clicking this link loads a page in the phone browser, but the page that loads is not the user talk page but a bad title error, looking at the URI it is attempting to load https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:User:Awkward42
The same happens in Wikipedia space - Wikipedia:Notability links to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikipedia:Notability
Also with help space - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Wikipedia:Notability
I haven't tested other namespaces but I expect the behaviour will hold

Event Timeline

Hi @Awkward42, thanks for taking the time to report this and welcome to Wikimedia Phabricator!
Please follow https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug plus always include version information. Thanks.

I think the version is 2.7.50282-r-2019-05-24 (This wasn't obvious to find).
The expected behaviour is that clicking the link to view the talk page will take you to the talk page.
The actual behaviour is that it takes you to a page with a bad title.
The reproducibility is 100% (for me, I have no ability to test other systems/versions/etc)

  1. in the Android App view any page in the user Wikipedia or Help namespaces (maybe any namespace other than (article))
  2. Click the link at the bottom of the page to view the talk page.

I'm not sure what other information would be relevant
