Description

@Mooeypoo developed a plug in that easily allows you to show popups (and static posters) with information from Wikipedia in blog posts.

I thought it would be great to integrate this on Wikimedia Space blog.

Event Timeline

CKoerner_WMF moved this task from Backlog to Started on the Space (Jul-Sep-2019) board.

I've successfully installed the plugin and have included the use of it in this recent blog post as a test.

Each location in the list is using this extension to display a popup. @Mooeypoo, please take a look and let me know what you think. The only feedback I have at the moment is the popups are a bit large on mobile, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

We'll have to document the use of this feature as part of our publishing checklist.

Looks good to me on desktop. I haven't tried on mobile.

Sweet! I'm so glad that this is working properly and thank you for the feedback.

This is what I see on Chrome mobile on Android:

It's not perfect, but it's not too big for me... Can you screenshot what you see on mobile, and what OS and browser it's on? Is like to make sure the interaction is workable on both desktop and mobile.

This is what I see on my iPhone using Safari. Tapping outside the modal doesn't seem to make it close and in landscape its rather large. :)

Qgil edited projects, added Space; removed Space (Jul-Sep-2019).
