Charinsert can be used inside an editnotice to help users insert page-specific characters/elements/templates ... into the editor. However, this does not work in NewWikitextEditor. I assume that is because of the cursor not being focused if I click on something in the editnotice, which overlays the editor in NWE.
This can be seen e.g. with this editnotice when trying to edit this page in NWE, the template / template parameters cannot be inserted via charinsert.
Any ideas on how to fix this issue? I remember having problems with the cursor losing focus just because i clicked to close the editnotice in NWE before.
