Description

This is a task @Whatamidoing-WMF and @ppelberg are using to gather ideas for a new mw.org page.

To help new product managers understand the purpose and value of target wikis and the considerations for choosing them.

Primary: product managers who are new to the movement
Secondary: readers of on-wiki updates seeing "target wiki" for the first time

This will evolve with time.

Is this supposed to be added under https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Wikimedia_Product_Guidance , or where would this reside?
