And compare_schemas.pl isn't really doing much better since last real activity either
The latter definitely becomes less relevant with abstract schema work... And I doubt the former is much use today either

I'd vote to just drop them, if anyone needs them for their extension, just revive it. I can send an email to mediawiki-l and ask if anyone still uses them. Does that sound good?
