Watchlist shows no invalid token message
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

Author: beland

Description:
I was pruning some of the 1,896 pages off my watchlist using: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Watchlist&action=edit

I loaded this page last night, went to bed, woke up this morning, and selected a bunch of pages to remove. I clicked "Remove Titles" and the watchlist reloaded without a notice at the top that those pages had been removed. Sure enough, the pages were still there, but no longer selected. This is an annoying little bit of data loss. I suspect some sort of short-term authentication is expiring?

Probably an invalid edit token, but it seems the watchlist code shows no error message in this case.

Is this still an issue?

The current behavior - if a user checks the titles and click to remove them from Watchlist and, meanwhile, a user session becomes expired, a user would be required to re-login and upon login a user would see the checked textboxes on Watchlist and would need to click to confirm again the action. So, it seems that there is no data lost. Closing the task as Resolved.
