So, to document somewhere that isn't a random ephemeral chat client, removing the history link text was intentional, but perhaps does bear... revisiting.

Essentially, the idea was it was a pretty obvious link from the icon, and some pages have waaaay too many cactions links to really fit even on high-resolution displays (see global userpages, for instance), so we could save space in general by losing the text in general, but perhaps... this really needs something smarter anyway? Labels are good and should be used. Three multiword cactions in a row is a problem anyway and maybe should just result in them getting moved to a dropdown as needed via js or something... (and perhaps that dropdown being a standard thing on all resolutions instead of mobile-specific would also help for establishing some standardisation for T239915 stuff?)

Anyway yeah this presents as a random inexplicable inconsistency and is an issue regardless.

My comment from an ephemeral chat client :)

I don't have a big deal with yanking the text tbh, we just have a header line now that is half icons, half icons + text.

As we are doing this, here's mine

on big screen I think text+icon is great because there's enough space. If somone go to a Wikidata item that icon alone is unnoticeable.
