This task is about creating ways for editors to write rules that determine what talk page activity they are notified about.

This idea is prompted by the idea @Sdkb shared on mediawiki.org here:

...sometimes, there are pages where I might want to pay attention only to future sections that meet or exclude particular criteria. For instance, at ITN nominations, some editors might want to only watchlist sections that are not recent deaths, so it'd be really powerful to be able to tell the software "watchlist new sections here if they don't contain |recent death = yes"
