  • (...) When in dark mode, the welcome page remains blank: ouch eyes! (...) (Link)

Received this piece of related feedback via email last week:

There's a problem with the Wikipedia app where when I click the new tab button it doesn't take me to the apps new tab page which is clean and optimized. But to the website which doesn't support dark theme and is full bright white.

This is very uncomfortable! Please make it that clicking the new tab page doesn't take me to the website.

Seddon renamed this task from Apply theme colors on 'Today on Wikipedia' page to Apply theme colors to the project (Wikipedia) namespace. .Feb 13 2023, 7:15 PM

We have a stylesheet that can be used on the main page.

Portal pages are disabled on web too and you'll likely want to stall this on T366380

+1:
" I would like to change the color of links to something pastel from default blue and have not found an option to do so. Please add such an option"

(Dark mode for web now works on portals - the module ext.wikimediamessages.styles can be loaded on the page to style those). Let me know if I can help in future via a ping.

Dark mode works on main page now. But themes like sepia still doesn't. This worked several years ago before main page became its own unique type. Is there a simple way to fix this issue?
