lists-next: not receiving own emails when subscribed without an account

Description

On other Wikimedia mailing lists, I receive copies of emails I send to the list, for example:

Delivered-To: mail@lucaswerkmeister.de
To: wikidata@lists.wikimedia.org
From: Lucas Werkmeister <mail@lucaswerkmeister.de>

Subject: Re: [Wikidata] Identifiers for WDQS queries

On test@lists-next.wikimedia.org, I have not received any of my own emails.

That seems like an almost useless feature. It's available in archives and your own sent mails, improves performance as well. I never had this, I think you could turn it on in the old mailman (I'm not sure if it's possible in the new one or not)

There's a per-user setting named "Receive own postings", have you turned that on?

No, I don’t have a user account. And if I thought the feature was useless, I wouldn’t have created this task…

Indeed, this works fine for me. I like the feature because it keeps threads joined together and is a way to verify your mail actually went through :)

I didn't realize it was possible to subscribe without an account. At first glance I'd think it's reasonable that if you don't create an account, you're stuck with the default settings.
