Description

This task will track the racking, setup, and OS installation of frdev1002

Hostname / Racking / Installation Details

Hostnames: frdev1002
Racking Proposal: frack
Networking/Subnet/VLAN/IP: 1 prod connection to each frack switch for redundancy
Partitioning/Raid: dual ssds for sw raid1
OS Distro: N/A (fundraising installs)

Per host setup checklist

Each host should have its own setup checklist copied and pasted into the list below.

frdev1002:

- receive in system on procurement task T279168 & in coupa
- rack system with proposed racking plan (see above) & update netbox (include all system info plus location, state of planned)
- bios/drac/serial setup/testing
- add mgmt dns (asset tag and hostname) dns entries in netbox, run cookbook sre.dns.netbox.
- list network ports plugged into so fundraising can set them up on their switches
- firmware update (idrac, bios, network, raid controller)
- handoff to fundraising, resolve task

Once the system(s) above have had all checkbox steps completed, this task can be resolved.

@Jgreen the idrac is set up, the password is set to the temporary DM if you do not remember. The production port is not set up. Which VLAN do you want this to go in? fundraising?

@Cmjohnson so far it looks good, I was able to log in, reset the drac password, and tweak BIOS settings
