Description:
Short: On http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Fruit the Plantanos demo shows up. We'd like to avoid that.
At http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Template#Redirection is description of a template as a "redirect". However, on the same page http://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Help:Template#A_category_tag_in_a_template.3B_caching_problem mentions that the categories are inherited when a page/template is include in this way. And indeed, the example of Plantanos has a category fruit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Fruit, which is polluted by the Planatos Demo. Apparently, to stop this from occuring, we'd have to stop the inheritence of the categories for the including page.
On nl: we have a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:TourBusStop bustour project http://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:TourBus_-_Bushalte_Wikipedia_NL, that we would like to implement similar to such redirects, since that's the only way we can find that doesn't require modifying the original page. However, we can't do that if it'll cause the busstops to appear in the categories. Our intended purpose does not require any specific implementation. A NOCAT keyword, a {{_nocat_|normaltemplate}} meta-template, or a {{normaltemplat|_nocat_}} standard-argument would all suffice.
