Delete content from labtestwikitech
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Since T282794 was declined I want to request deletion of the content of this wiki as suggested by @aborrero to avoid confusion about the wrong/outdated content.

It's no longer a test bed for MediaWiki-extensions-OpenStackManager, so I guess it's a question for cloud-services-team how useful this wiki is going forward. Is there a need for somewhere to test the integration/changes that https://labtestwikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Labtestlogbot makes? Or could we do it on wikitech wiki, maybe in a different NS?

It might make more sense to close and/or "delete" it completely.

I don't understand what the problem is honestly. Yes we have a test wiki, and yes it has stale content. The URL is "labtestwikitech" and the main page says "testing" all over it. What is the imagined scenario where someone finds themselves viewing content on this wiki and becomes confused?

I don't know if search engines index this wiki, but if they do, it can be annoying if someone not familiar with our movement, looking for information about Toolforge or CloudVPS ends up reading stale information.

It's a little bit useful to have content on that wiki. I hope soon to abolish that wiki entirely (once wikitech becomes a 'real' app-server hosted wiki.)

In the meantime I don't think there's any need to do anything here unless there is for some reason insecure info on that wiki (which would surprise me)
