Description

Hello. The password change page does not work. When I go to save the password the password does not change. Thanks!

No, but the password doesn't change.

On Miraheze and Testwiki.wiki that have mediawiki 1.37 it works properly.

When I save the new password it doesn't go back to my preferences, it stays in the password confirmation form and when I go to log in with the new password it doesn't log in.

Can you confirm which wiki this actually is occurring on?

All Wikimedia wikis and all beta cluster wikis

Does it still occur if you run your browser in safe mode (or similar) where its not running any extensions or addons?

I deleted the history, cleaned and restarted my device and it did not fix.

And second, please also use a browser without any browser add-ons or any browser extensions. (Or try a different browser.)

Which page should I purge?

You should not purge page but use a clean browser without add-ons and without extensions and use safemode. See previous comments.

Hello, my problem is fixed, thanks for your help :)

How was it fixed?

I clicked on "forgot my password" and then I logged in with the temporary password and then he told me to enter a permanent one. I did this in the Beta Cluster because there I wanted to change the password. But then I saw that the problem was on original site matrix too.

@Aklapper Hello! I did the steps you told me using a different browser from another device but the problem was not fixed. Only if I log in with a temporary password can I change it. Thanks!

I've lost track what this ticket is about as there still are no clear steps and full info. However I am sure it is NOT a bug in MediaWiki code.
