Hmm, I have an issue here, trying to change/add suggestions to the text on https://wdqs-tutorial.toolforge.org, I seem unable to know where or how to do it (given that it's a wordpress instance I think).

Maybe @Keren_-_WMIL or @WMDE-leszek might be able to help there?

Specifically on page https://wdqs-tutorial.toolforge.org/index.php/category/introduction/ there's a duplicated comment:

Not all values are also items. For example, the value for the property “duration” (P2047) for the item Q17738 is 121 minutes.

Some properties might have values that aren’t items. For instance, the value of the property “duration” (P2047) for the item Q17738 is “121 minutes”, a quantity.

@dcaro Thanks David. Didn't notice this duplication. Will fix it in WordPress. Cheers!

In the page 'https://wdqs-tutorial.toolforge.org/index.php/category/simple-queries/', under the seciton "WDQS built-in search function"there's a link named 'Wikidata Label Service' that seems broken, return:

There has been a critical error on your website.

Learn more about debugging in WordPress.

Same page as above, under section "Retrieving an item’s description", there's another link broken, named 'introduction to Wikidata', links to 'https://wdqs-tutorial.toolforge.org/index.php/introduction/introduction-to-wikidata/' giving the same error.

Same page as above, under the "Queries with more than one variable", the link named "As we’ve seen" linking to https://wdqs-tutorial.toolforge.org/index.php/simple-queries/adding-match-patterns/two-or-more-match-patterns/ also gives the same error.

Hi David,
I didn't realized you have more comments on the site.
Unfortunately I tried to resolve a different issue (https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T305960#7948089) and crashed the site. :(

oh, okok, I'll wait until you got it running up again, just ping me here, :)

btw. I'm enjoying the tutorial, kudos 👍

awwww, how lovely to hear that.
If you have any experience/knowledge of WordPress I could use some help, cause I don't know how to get it up and running again. :(

I have some experience with wordpress, are you still having issues? What error/errors do you see on the server side?

This is from the error.log:

I installed updraftplus and have a backup but I am such a noob I don't know how to restore the site from it...
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thank you for tagging this task with good first task for Wikimedia newcomers!

Newcomers often may not be aware of things that may seem obvious to seasoned contributors, so please take a moment to reflect on how this task might look to somebody who has never contributed to Wikimedia projects.

A good first task is a self-contained, non-controversial task with a clear approach. It should be well-described with pointers to help a completely new contributor, for example it should clearly point to the codebase URL and provide clear steps to help a contributor get set up for success. We've included some guidelines at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/tag/good_first_task/ !

Thank you for helping us drive new contributions to our projects <3
