I saw the problem on at least 4 computers. all of them - hard refresh didn't change nothing - and the problem appear on each page over the wikimania 2011 site.

That's interesting.

Confirmed on IE8 locally

enwiki is ok

Login page is ok while logged out

After logging in, it goes away for me

right. same to me.
not working good on each page over the site
login page - looking fine.
and after i logging in (even afterI logged out) - working fine.

I disabled some scripts on wikimania 2011. Can someone test to see if this bug still occurs ?

To double check your cache, there should _not_ be a chatbox frame showing up on this page: http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/IRC, if it does then you have a cached version of the scripts.

people still have the problem... any new idea how to fix that?

Right now, there's no problem in the HomePage. The problem is in most of the pages linked to it. For example: Venu- http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/Venue
Submissions- http://wikimania2011.wikimedia.org/wiki/Call_for_Papers

works for me, I accessed the page now for the first time since a couple of months when was setup.

Have you also tried Ctrl+F5 (instead of F5) in your brower ?
And: Tools -> Internet Options -> Clear Internet files (browser history, download temporary files (i.e. cache), perhaps cookies)

If this does not help, then &action=purge as explained above.

Okay, I believe the issue here has been resolved. If clearing the browser cache does not fix it for you, feel free to re-open this bug!
