Based on community feedback and deletion statistics, this ticket proposes to adjust the limits for unmodified translation in Content Translaiton.
This ticket proposes an initial adjustment to set the limits of unedited MT for the overall document at 80%. That is, users will be required to edit at least a 20% of the contents of the translation to be able to publish.
Looking at the current year (data from Jan to June 2022), in Armenian Wikipedia there were 225 translations created with Content translation and 20 were deleted (9% of deletions). For the same period, the deletion rate of articles created without Content Translation was 11%. We'll keep looking at these numbers as we iterate on the adjustments for the limits. Feedback from the community, data, and examples of good and problematic translations will be useful to improve the system further.
