I'm currently subscribed to wikimedia-l with "Delivery mode: Plain Text Digests" selected, and I am receiving digests multiple times a day. I feel this is too often. Can this be configured so that we only receive one digest a day?

Hi, administrators' /settings/digest offers Digest Volume Frequency and Digest size threshold settings. These are list settings and these are not user account settings. Thus these settings are up to each mailing list administrator and in this case you should contact the admins of that mailing list.
If you wanted Mailman to provide a setting on a user account level, that is likely something to request upstream at https://gitlab.com/mailman/mailman/-/issues

I am one of the list owners. Digest frequency has been set at "daily" since the earliest days of this mailing list. The next most frequent option is "weekly" and that's too long.
The digest size threshold was set at 30 kb, and I have increased it to 55 kb. That should reduce the likelihood of receiving multiple digests per day. Of course, this depends on the number of messages, and whether or not mailing list contributors trim their messages; it's quite possible for a single long thread with multiple untrimmed messages to surpass that size threshold. That's outside of the control of the list owners/administrators.
In the mailing list description (your first link) it says "The list administrators are..." and also at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Wikimedia-l#Administration :-)
