In order to provide WikiApiary with up to date information on wikifarms and their ever changing number of sites, a standard format/method for importing new sites should be created to allow all wiki farms to provide data that WikiApiary can easily parse and use to create new pages.

In the past, from memory and code remnants, there were a number of different APIs and bots (one, two) that were used to do this. By standardizing a single format, the burden can be shared equally by wiki farms and WIkiApiary by having wiki farms convert their data into the correct format and WikiApiary maintain one tool that processes the data into the relevant page structure.
