Sylheti Wikisource is listed as English title for Multilingual Wikisource
Closed, ResolvedPublicBUG REPORT

Description

The export form at https://ws-export.wmcloud.org is showing <option value="mul" >ꠍꠤꠟꠐꠤ ꠃꠁꠇꠤꠟꠇ (mul)</option> for Multilingual Wikisource (wikisource.org). This is because it's trying to build a list of Wikisources via Wikidata, and https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q120844812 has wikisource.org as its official URL. Here's a list of all of them: https://w.wiki/775S

Should incubator Wikisources be called Wikisource language editions? If they should, then we should add them all, and update WS Export's list to support them.

I'm not sure what to respond here. wikisource.org is used both as storage for things that will never belong to a particular language edition and as an incubator for future languages. So I'd say... whatever works? But maybe people who strongly care about Multilingual Wikisource as multilingual could also weigh in, and to be honest, I'm not sure who they are.

There is no Sylheti Wikisource, that will be created if it ever gets spun off. There is multi-lingual multisource per https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q18198097

The WD item Q120844812 should be nominated or deletion as it is wishful thinking at this time. The existing link is simply wrong, and I will remove it.

Sylheti Wikisource (Q120844812) is now an instance of Multilingual Wikisource, which is wrong but at least gets rid of the issue above.

Sylheti Wikisource (Q120844812) has been redirected to Multilingual Wikisource (Q18198097), and all is working correctly now.
