The top caption for one of extensions tables on Special:Version is "Parser hooks". It includes extensions such as Babel, Cite, Math, and SyntaxHighlight, that is—extensions that add something to the wikitext.
The title "Parser hooks" is rather obscure. Especially the "hooks" part: it is meaningful to experienced backend MediaWiki developers, but most wikis' users are not experienced backend MediaWiki developers.
In addition, Special:Version also has a section with a very similar name: "Parser function hooks", which refers more directly to actual hooks.
I recommend renaming the "Parser hooks" (message key version-parserhooks) caption to a more descriptive name. Some suggestions:
- Wikitext extensions
- Wikitext syntax additions
- Syntax extensions
- Wikitext modifications
