We do wan to make Wikiprojects more visible and accessible on Wikidata. More background can be found in T329284.

As a first step it would be important to try out different ideas for how we could determine the best way to get the correct Wikiprojects from the data that is already in Wikidata. We would like to see them implemented as a user script or gadget so people can try them out on Wikidata and see how it behaves in practice.
