Goal
As we have our Codex, design system for Wikimedia currently based on VitePress for making it easy for users to contribute by mostly dealing with Markdown files only, we should find an appropriate solution to enable translating it, without overwhelming those contributors.
At best the solution should
- work with translatewiki.net,
- be easily understandable for non-technically advanced contributors to adapt,
- be performant
