Did You Know (DYK) does not display on Android Wikipedia App

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Install the mobile app on your Android device
  • Select "en" as your language
  • Scroll throught the feed

What happens?:
You get:

  • Featured article
  • Picture of the Day
  • In the news
  • On this day
  • Random article

That's it. No DYK (Did You Know). It doesn't show up under "Customize the feed" either.

What should have happened instead?:

Software version (skip for WMF-hosted wikis like Wikipedia):

Thanks for creating this @RoySmith ! We do not currently have a card for this. Our feed is made up of things from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Main_Page. DYK is a good candidate for something we show in the app, but we will need to explore how to scrape this over different languages.

BTW, I'm told the same issue exists on the IOS app. I haven't confirmed that, but if it's true, then please feel free to change the title of this ticket to something more generic.
