Cannot easily see if an article is being watched via API

Description

Given an article name it should be possible via the api to query whether it is being watched or not.

Currently it seems that a developer has to retrieve the entire watch list and traverse it to check. This is unacceptable in my opinion.

Ahh it adds a watched attribute.
That's not obvious at all. I would have expected it to give an empty list.

This seems a bit illogical no?

(Also that query is not obvious at all even via exploring API Sandbox)
