We are currently missing editing support for image options. A spec is in development at http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Parsoid/MediaWiki_DOM_spec#Thumbnails, but is not yet implemented. It is likely more efficient and convenient to encode presentational options as JSON instead of RDFa properties.

To be clear, this is about editing image inclusion options such as size, alignment, link, etc right -- not about actually editing raster or vector images themselves?
We are not going to branch out into pixels or vectors just yet ;) Maybe in the far future, when we feel bored.
