Apaches refuse to start due to hhvm config
Closed, InvalidPublic

Description

I have live hacked this on the apaches by commenting out most of hhvm.conf.

Needs a real fix.

Is that the Apache hhvm.conf ? If so we have it in operations/apache-config.git in the betacluster branch https://github.com/wikimedia/operations-apache-config/blob/betacluster/hhvm.conf

Changes made to the repo do not self deploy though.

conf

Yes, the file that was causing problems suddenly it the hhvm.conf from the betacluster branch of the git repo.

The "real fix" needed is to track down why this file is suddenly causing duplicate definition errors during apache startup when it looks to have not been modified in quite some time. At the moment hhvm is disabled in beta by the uncommitted local hack which commented out 90% of the hhvm.conf file contents. This was the crude but effective solution to move forward on getting the zero.wikimedia.beta.wmflabs.org up and running yesterday.

The HHVM-on-Precise setup has been torn down.
